Fall 2025
Chairman’s Message
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we move into the fall season, I am reminded of the importance of gratitude, community, and renewal. Each year, September and October bring both reflection and momentum for our organization.
Reflection—because we pause to honor the journeys of lung transplant recipients and their families, many of whom have overcome extraordinary challenges.
Momentum—because this is the time of year when our programs, events, and outreach efforts come together to create tangible impact for those we serve.
This year has been no exception. Through your generosity and commitment, we have continued to provide vital support to patients traveling to Arizona for their life-saving transplant care. From helping with lodging and meals, to offering peer connection and emotional encouragement, the LTSO community demonstrates what it means to stand beside someone in their most vulnerable moments.
Looking ahead, I encourage you to mark your calendars for two important initiatives:
- Fall Get-Together – Please join us on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at El Dorado Park (Ramada TBA), 2311 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale for our relaxed BBQ in the park. It’s a welcoming space for lung transplant patients, those waiting or being evaluated, caregivers, medical professionals, sponsors, donors, and friends to connect, swap tips, and simply enjoy time together outdoors. Kindly RSVP by Monday, October 27 so we can plan food; email g_hutchinson@gotmask.org with your name, cell number, email, and the number in your party. We can’t wait to see you there.
- 17th Annual “Breath of Hope” Golf Tournament – May 2, 2025 (Dobson Ranch Golf Course, Mesa, AZ). This flagship fundraiser not only sustains our programs but also brings together friends, families, caregivers, and partners who believe in the power of giving back. Sponsorship opportunities are now open, and we welcome your participation in ensuring its success.
None of this would be possible without our dedicated supporters, donors, volunteers, and medical partners. Your compassion turns obstacles into hope, and your generosity transforms uncertainty into stability for the families we serve. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, thank you for walking alongside us.
As always, please visit www.gotmask.org for updates, ways to give, and opportunities to volunteer. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community for all who are touched by lung transplantation.
Breathe deep and breathe well,
